ABSTRACT AND EXPRESSIONIST WORK

Anneli Curnock is a prolific abstract and expressionist painter who has been working professionally since 2007. Over the course of her career, Curnock's emotionally evocative works have been sold in high volumes, with over 1,000 paintings finding homes in collections worldwide.

Drawing inspiration from Jean-Michel Basquiat, Salvador Dalí, and Frida Kahlo, Curnock has forged an original, surrealist voice. Her canvases explore the human form and inner experience through an interplay of abstraction and figurative expressionism. Gestural lines, vibrant colors, and textured surfaces converge to create compelling narratives that delve into the complexities of emotion, identity, and the human condition.

Curnock's vision has led to numerous solo and group exhibitions in established galleries across the United States. Her work has been showcased in New York City, Cleveland, Orlando, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Vermont—including multiple exhibitions featuring her "Venus" series. Her consistent exploration of hidden, primal themes have established her as a local figure in contemporary abstract expressionism.

With a career spanning nearly two decades, Anneli Curnock continues to create impactful and thought-provoking paintings that resonate with viewers on a deeply personal level.

From a young age, I was immersed in the world of animals, spending time alongside my mother in her pet grooming and boarding business. This early experience instilled in me a lifelong passion for caring for animals. Over the years, I've discovered a way to merge my two greatest passions: painting and animals. With over 15 years of professional painting experience, I sold my first pieces when I was 23 years old. In addition to my pet portraits, you can also see my original works of art here.
